Harry Potter

So, the countdown has begun...in a little more than a month, HP and The Deathly Hallows will hit bookshelves. I've ordered a copy on Amazon already, so I'll be getting mine on the day of the release.
So, what's gonna happen in the 7th and final book ? JK is as silent as she has ever been. What I'll do here is examine a few scenarios, a few which I hope are not going to materialize, and some I know will not materialize, and a few I don't have any idea about...

1. Dumbledore is (not) dead:
There was a website dumbledoreisnotdead.com which filled me with hope in the initial days - it made me believe that Dumbledore, Hogwarts' greatest ever headmaster, would indeed spring a spectacular comeback in the final book. However, JK did indeed confirm that Dumbledore is dead...oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

2. Snape is evil:
I don't know, but I don't think he is...there is some proof that he did what he did on Dumbledore's orders.

3. Snape is good:
He killed Dumbledore for heaven's sake!!! Are you crazy??? How can he be good???

4. Harry is a Horcrux:
He is NOT. I know. Trust me.

5. Harry will find out that he is a horcrux and kill himself:
If you seriously believe that this is the case, then I don't think there's any point arguing with you...you're out of your mind...

Apart from these, there are a few questions that are flummoxing me. For instance, what is Harry going to do after finding a horcrux? Ah, you will say, he'll destroy it of course. Of that I don't have any doubt, but how will he set about destroying it? He doesn't have the slightest idea in heaven of how to get rid of a horcrux - I'll look forward to how Rowling addresses that issue.

Anyway, I'm hoping for the best and that Harry will not die.

A brief introduction - NOT a sign of what is to come

When the idea to create a blog for myself first hit me, I set about enthusiastically setting up my own 'page' on blogger. It all seemed terribly easy - all I had to do was fill out some things about myself, embellish my statements with a hint of humor and then sit back and watch the readership grow.

I'm not sure at what point the first flaw in my plans became apparent to me. Perhaps it was when I started to stare at the blank screen before me, thinking of what to write. What do I write in a blog? I wanted my first post to be something special, something different. A dozen ideas crowded into my head and so I started to set about thinking of what the perfect first post would be. Would it be about Cricket, or Cars, or perhaps about something entirely different?

I wanted to talk about local politics, about my favorite TV show Top Gear, about my experiences in finding myself the right university, about how I planned to use the free time on my hands once school ended. But which should come first?

I finally decided to let time take its own course. I immersed myself in the rest of my life, and the blog was firmly entrenched at the back of my mind for the better part of a month. Today, however, sitting down in front of my PC at 10:30 pm, I found myself coming back to blogger. My fingers started to type, and voila! my first post was complete.

So, what is it about? I still don't know. And after reading it, I don't think you do either.
